Hello and welcome to the quarterly update for Galaxsi Studios! This update will cover the first three months of 2025. I’m writing this on March 28th, 2025, with just a few days left in the quarter, and I feel it’s the perfect time to reflect and share what’s been happening.
Personal Growth & Life Changes
The year started off with significant personal challenges that pushed me to rebuild and redefine my life. Mentally, it’s been rough, but I’m gradually finding my footing and feeling stronger with each passing day.
For those who may not know, I’ve recently moved out of home and am now living on my own. The move was a big step toward independence and personal growth. I’ve relocated to a new region within sunny Queensland, still close to my old area but far enough away to feel like a fresh start. This new region offers me the chance to explore new places, meet new people, and embrace new opportunities.
While the transition was challenging, I feel like I’ve adjusted well to my new surroundings. This change has given me a healthier, more balanced environment where I can truly focus on my goals and personal well-being. To top it off, I’m dating a wonderful woman, and I’m incredibly happy to have her in my life. Meeting her wouldn’t have been possible if I hadn’t made this move, and I feel so grateful for how things have turned out.
Content Creation & Adjustments
With all the changes going on in my personal life, I had to reassess my approach to content creation. Initially, I tried to force myself back into my old routine, expecting everything to fall back into place. However, it quickly became clear that my old methods weren’t working. My health was being neglected, and the pressure to keep up with a rigid schedule was more than I could handle.
To address this, I decided to let go of the strict weekly schedule and instead focus on creating content when I genuinely feel inspired and ready. This new approach has given me the freedom and flexibility to manage both the Galaxsi Footy and the gaming channel without feeling overwhelmed. It’s a healthier, more sustainable way to pursue my passion for content creation.
Galaxsi Footy Channel Updates
One of the major highlights this quarter has been the relaunch of the Fixture Showdown 25 series for the NRL regular season. Originally, I planned to cover multiple games each week, but I scaled it back to focus on four significant matches from Round 1:
- Raiders vs Warriors
- Panthers vs Sharks
- Broncos vs. Roosters
- Dolphins vs. Rabbitohs
- Tigers vs. Knights
I’m pleased with how these videos turned out, and it felt great to be more selective about the content I put out. This approach has allowed me to maintain quality while managing my energy and time better.
Another exciting project I launched is the Galaxsi Scrum — a podcast dedicated to NRL discussions. The format allows me to dive into various topics, such as the Dylan Brown contract saga and the potential departure of Daly Cherry-Evans from Manly. The goal is to release new episodes every Wednesday night by default or Thursday night if games start on Friday.
Creating the podcast has been a fun and rewarding experience, especially learning how to publish it quickly via platforms like Spotify for Podcasts. The editing process is relatively straightforward at the moment, but I’m looking forward to refining it as I continue. It’s been refreshing to have a platform where I can openly share my passion for NRL and engage with the community. Plus, I’m excited to bring other content creators on board for future discussions.
NRL Discussion Videos & Future Plans
In addition to the podcast, I’ve been producing discussion videos on the NRL channel, covering topics like ladder predictions and speculations about the NRL season’s progression. While I have a ton of ideas for future videos, I’m pacing myself to avoid getting overwhelmed and to maintain consistency.
The upcoming release of the new Rugby League game later this year has also sparked new content ideas. I can’t wait to dive into those projects and share them with the community. I’m excited about the possibilities and looking forward to expanding Galaxsi Footy even further.
On a related note, I recently rejoined the Simulation Rugby League (SRL) Discord server, which has been a fun way to reconnect with the community. I’m planning to bring Will, the SRL Commissioner, onto a future episode of the Galaxsi Scrum, which will be a great opportunity to discuss all things SRL and NRL.
Looking Forward
Overall, the first quarter of 2025 has been a period of massive personal growth, adaptation, and creative exploration. Moving to a new region, building a new life, and continuing my passion for content creation have all contributed to a challenging but rewarding start to the year.
As I continue to adjust and improve my approach, I’m excited about what the rest of 2025 will bring. Galaxsi Studios is steadily growing, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. There’s still a lot more I want to accomplish, and I can’t wait to keep sharing the journey with everyone.
Stay tuned, and as always, thank you for your support!
