In 2019, I embarked on a journey into the world of live streaming on Twitch, and it quickly became one of my most cherished pastimes. The year 2020, marked by the global pandemic, saw my Twitch channel flourishing as a hub for entertainment and connection. It was during this time that I ventured into an exciting side project that brought Galaxsi Bot to life, allowing my viewers to engage in interactive chat games while I played games myself.
The Move to YouTube
Initially, my move to YouTube for streaming was driven by a desire to centralize everything in one place. I thought it would be convenient for my viewers to have all my content on a single platform. However, it ended up adding confusion, and I realized that the unique atmosphere and community I had built on Twitch were irreplaceable.
The Challenge with Galaxsi Bot on YouTube
During my time on YouTube, I was eager to reintroduce Galaxsi Bot, a beloved feature from my Twitch days. However, integrating Galaxsi Bot on YouTube proved to be a challenge. YouTube’s API is notoriously complex to set up, and there were concerns about potential costs and pricing if something were to go wrong. While I still plan to make Galaxsi Bot a part of my future streaming endeavors, it’s not the right time for it now.
Listening to My Viewers
I value the opinions of my viewers immensely, and during my time on YouTube, they provided valuable feedback. The most significant sentiment echoed by my viewers was that they missed the interactive games in the chat that Galaxsi Bot used to facilitate. It felt like a unique niche had disappeared, and that sense of community was missing.
A Return to Streaming
As I prepare for my return to Twitch, I want to ease back into the groove. I won’t be introducing Galaxsi Bot right away, but once I get my streaming schedule back on track, Galaxsi Bot will make its triumphant return. Additionally, I have exciting plans for this holiday season, including Christmas and New Year’s streams. I’m looking forward to revisiting classics like Mario Kart and Jackbox Party, as well as hanging out with close friends and diving into new game releases.
