Personal Goals for 2022
Okay! Another blog post! Just want to say that blogposts proberbly won’t be too often as they have been in the last few weeks! I don’t actually plan to post on here too much but I do have a few things that I do want to talk about. I think there is going to be one more post after this one detailing the updates for the Galaxsi Bot project for 2022.
However, today I want to talk to you about, my personal goals! Now you might be asking “Matt, you have made a website in relation to your pillars of growth, why are you making a blogpost about your own goals.” Well remember, this website currently is about my passions so I want to have sort of a personal attachment to this growth while I work on building it as a brand. That being said, these personal posts might not stay forever and they might end up being deleted as we grow. You will notice this goes under the “Personal” category. This additionally will give more insight into my choices and passions. You might even learn some things about me.
Drivers Licence
Yes, I am 25-years old & I have yet to get my drivers licence. Though I don’t aim to get my non-learners till next year, I do plan to work on my learners and get my road smarts up. Now you might be asking why I didn’t get my licence straight away? Well, it was because of 2 main reasons: the first being that when I first got behind the wheel, I wasn’t exactly confident and I went about it the wrong way while as well, the car I was suppose to be learning in… was traded in and I wasn’t able to drive the new car. Not only that, neither me could afford driving lessons. I also have not felt the need to get my licence until last few months of 2021 as everything I need is locally aquired around me. I do think however in order to gain access to new possibilities as well as make my day to day easier, I do think having the goal of getting my drivers licence would be beneficial now. I also want to travel around the country a bit more and meet some of the people I have met online that live in the same country as me and I do think having access to a car would be ideal. My main goal by the end of this year is to have at least 30 hours of driving under my belt as well as a few lessons.
Health
Now, its not a mystery that I am overweight, I would like to work on my physical & mental health. I am aiming to eat more healthy than ever before but as well, do more excersice such as swimming & I am looking at proberbly doing cycling. The main reason that I am finally taking more notice on my health is because of recent events whether it be related to Coronavirus or friends of mine. This has made me put things into perspective with how I live. I am currently slowly changing my diet & adding new habit that are bit more healthy like not looking at my phone before I go to bed so I am able to get better sleep at night, etc. I have been doing this more so over the last couple of weeks & I have noticed changes already. I am feeling a bit better and I do feel like I can do a bit more. I do notice that when I eat more of the comfort food like Mcdonalds (though you can still have a somewhat healthy meal here) or Pizza, recently I have noticed that I tend to sleep worse than I do when I eat healthier. In addition, I am trying to walk & take the bus more so I am enabled to walk a lot better and after I walk (especially on a decently warm day), I do feel better. I am drinking a lot more water & staying way more hydrated now & I am even noticing that my skin is getting better and much more smooth.
Time Management
Some people might say that I actually have good time management but what I am actually referring to here is the fact that I want to be able to plan my day better. I can get what I am assigned done but there are times where I am doing things at times of the day where my brain is at the least active. Usually when it comes to it, I am a morning person, I am able to get the more complicated things done in the morning compared to the afternoon where though I can get the simple things done, my brain seems to fry itself if I do something complicated. So that is why I want to work on my time management, make it so the more complicated & tasks that require more brain power are in the morning while in the afternoon, I schedule things that require less brain power in the afternoon. I do seem to pick up a bit more during the evening (around after 5pm as well) but this is usually reserved for either if I have extra work to do or I want to put focus into things like streaming or gaming.
Other Goals
In addition to those core 2 goals that I have for this year, Some other minor goals I have this year inlcude:
- Learning to cook new recipies and cook more often so I save money on Uber Eats! As well, I will be working from home a bit more and should utilise the kitchen a bit more.
- Seperate my Personal & Professional lives. I am already in the progress of doing this & starting a new job shortly will 100% help with this!
- Learn a new coding language as well as a new framework. I was thinking of putting some time into learning python?
- I would like to as well buy a film camera and start doing some films and learning film techniques and write some scripts for short films.
And those are my own personal goals for this year! I will be doing a comparison post at the end of this year to compare what was achived/what I didn’t achive & what I can take from this year and put into next year in 2023!
Kind Regards,
Mathew
