2022 Streaming Goals

Ahoy crew & welcome to the first post of 2022 & the first post on Galaxsi Studios related to the Galaxsi Crew! Hopefully you won’t be on this website way too often! In my Galaxsi Studios post, I mentioned that I had some small goals for the community this year and this post, I hope to enlighten you all on those as well as what I have planned for the first half of 2022 if things go according to plan! As I have said in other posts that go through my plans for 2022, I need to stress that this is entirely a plan & nothing is set in stone so expect plans to change as time progresses.

Matgalaxsi 3-Year Anniversary

The first event I wish to talk about is the 3-Year Twitch Streaming anniversary. I started streaming under “Matgalaxsi” from Feb. 9th 2019 which means on Feb. 9th 2022, I will have been streaming for 3 years! That is a long time and I look forward to celebrating! How are we going to celebrate?? The celebration stream will be on Feb. 12th 2022. I will be doing a smaller stream on that Wednesday but the main stream will take place on the Saturday. This will be a community stream but for the first time, we will be hosting & celebrating the sudden release of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. Sign-Up will take place a week before the event will take place. In addition, we will also be playing some Mario Kart & Jackbox Party! More details about this event will be coming out late next week so stay tuned!

Galaxsi Bot’s 2nd Birthday

The next main event that will be taking place will be Galaxsi Bot’s Birthday stream in April! In this stream, I intend to introduce a new gimmick to Galaxsi Bot. I will be revealing more about this new gimmick around the month of March. In addition, I plan to re-design the site galaxsibot.com with the new branding colours that Matgalaxsi has taken on in 2022. The new site will feature a helpful guide to utilising Galaxsi Bot during the stream, a more easy way to navigate the website, a new hall of fame where previous winners will be featured, and more. I am also taking suggestions on what else we can do to improve the website’s usage as I want to improve on it as much as possible. I will be making more detailed post about Galaxsi Bot’s future development for 2022 shortly so if you are more interested in that, please stay tuned.

Youtube

This year, I do intend to work on working on the Youtube Channel. Last year, I didn’t work on it as much as I hoped and I am still not at 100 subscribers. This year, I plan to introduce more content onto the channel whether it be more original content for that platform or clips & shorts taken from my livestreams on Twitch. You may have noticed that I have been uploading more shorts in the recent months and that is because I have found it a bit more easier to upload shorts as well, they are doing suprisingly well. I am definitly going to be continuing to upload shorts as the time goes on so expect more! I do even expect to make more Master Duel videos now that the game is out!

Charity Stream #01

The final event stream I wish to talk about is the first charity stream of 2022 which will be taking place in June! Last year, we completed our first charity stream & this year I plan to keep going forward with it! I will be again raising money for Beyond Blue Australia which is a support organisation that addresses issues related to depression, anxiety disorders, and other related mental health illnesses. I do also aim to raise more money than I did last year so this time, I will be creating incentives for the viewers to work towards so they are rewarded with either bonues for their team (yes, we will be doing a team event again but this time with a different format to last year) or with my tourture! I will be sharing more about this event around the end of April!

Community Goals

My main community goals this year is to keep growing the community more than we have before but as well engage the community with more community events. We want to introduce an atmosphere in our community that invites people to come and play with each other. In one of the moderator meetings I had with the mods, we came up with having the idea of having both offline & online community events where users could come and be compeitive or casual depending on the tier of the event. Not only that but we will be expanding the games to other games like Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel, Halo Infinite, Uno. I plan to start running these in Feburary and plan for the first one on being the Master Duel Tournament. Not only that, but I may also be introducing a watch along in the discord server as well.

In terms of follower goals, I am just happy with how we are growing now. I would like to aim this year for around 800 followers on TwitchTV but I would also like to have it so that would be a setup towards us next year reach 1000 followers. There are things that I want to work on as a streamer including putting my foot down with keeping the stream PG but also expanding to more mature audiences. Though I don’t really want to go full “Do whatever the heck we want”, I still do want to have some control within what is being shown on the stream.

Another thing I want to introduce is a bit more of a chill time, where we chat for an hour and even watch some videos on Youtube that I have wanted to watch (maybe even do some try not laugh challenges). I want to expand (not by a lot but a little) with what content I do. I still like doing those gaming moments but I don’t just want to focus on gaming, I would like to expand into things though still staying in the pop culture theme but also watching videos (non-copyrighted) on stream as well.

There is a lot to look forward to this year and I cannot wait to share the year with you!

See you online,
Matgalaxsi
