Transition Period (17th Jan – 13th Feb)

On the 3rd of January, I went into work and I handed in my resignation to my boss (who has been in the stream before) and that same week, I announced that I was leaving to my fellow co-workers. As a software developer, I have multiple different responsibilities that I do from day to day and I have to now document everything that I do so that who ever replaces me after I leave, will have an easier time understanding the code that I work with. My last day at my current workplace will be the 28th Jan and I will be starting at my new job on the 31st.

So what does this mean? Well I have marked the next 4 weeks as a “transition period” where I will be taking my time to focus on completing the handover at my current place, saying goodbye to the people I have worked with over the last 4 years, making sure I don’t leave any loose ends (or minimal if I can’t help it). That will be happening for the next 2 weeks, then after that, I will be starting a new job which I have blanked out 2 more weeks so I can take time to focus on what my responsibilities will be in the new company, getting my head around the code base that they work with, doing some studying on anything new that I need to learn and just getting comfortable.

Change is a very big thing for me as I want to make sure I transition into the next stage smoothly. Multiple times last year, I had A LOT of change take place around me and it has been a difficult time, so much so that it affected me a great deal. Though that this coming up is a big change as well, Its one that I am in control of. Though I am sad that I have to say goodbye to the people I have been around for a majority of the last 4 years of my life & nervous about the change, I am also excited of what is to come, its like a new era if you want to think about it that way.

So what does this mean for streaming on Matgalaxsi? Well, the schedule will be looking something like this for the next 4 weeks:

• Friday – No Stream (only for the first 2 weeks)
• Saturday – 3pm – 7pm
• Sunday – 3pm – 7pm

NOTE: There will be no streams the weekend of 29th/30th Jan as I will be using that weekend to get mentally prepared for the next point in my career.

I apologies for the inconvenience this may bring some people but I also want to thank everyone who has been supportive during this time and when we return, we will be back in full throttle (hopefully) and (though its more 25% chance) even more streams going forward.
